Baseline, Krugerville

Here is the kitchen when we started. Here is another view of how the kitchen was when we started. Here you can see the wall we removed and replaced with a post in the new kitchen configuration (this was a load bearing wall). Here is the new island we created by removing the wall to the far end of the sink. Resulting counter is over 10' long and features sit at bar on the right side of the island (right side as seen in this picture).
Here is a look at the kitchen island from the "working" side. We modified the existing cabinet from the orginal kitchen to accomodate the farmers sink. Cabinets on the right side of the island were originally under the "L" portion of the original kitchen. Wall where fridge was originally has been removed and replaced with an old post from a barn. Here is the new fireplace we built with a ventless propane fire place. This is actually brick looking tile that we painted white. Mantel is a piece of cedar that we made at the shop. We hand distressed a new piece of cedar to make it look old. Here is the view from the old kitchen to the breakfast area. Here is the view looking towards the breakfast area from the new kitchen.
Here is a view of the old kitchen looking toward what was the formal dining room. Here is the same view of the new kitchen. We closed in the cased opening to the old formal dining room (now a study), built cabinets and shelving for the new wall area created by closing off the entry to the old dining room, recessed the fridge into the wall so that an over sized fridge is cabinet depth. We also removed the pantry cabinet and built a walk in pantry into an unused area of the garage (pantry is behind black door, which we made at our shop from a picture the customer gave us).
